Student Handbook - ActivitiesSporting Events:Sports lovers always enjoy attending Phoenix's major league sports such as: The Phoenix Suns basketball games (ticket information call 379 - 7867), the Phoenix Cardinals football games (ticket info. 379 - 0102) and the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team (ticket information call 514-8400). Tickets for these events are occasionally available in the DeVry Game Room. With an almost ideal climate, the Valley of the Sun also has health clubs, sports clubs (offering such sports as tennis, handball and racquetball), golf courses and driving ranges in abundance throughout the Valley. Some of these facilities are listed below. Students should look for the location and phone numbers of others in the yellow pages of the telephone book. Art Festivals: Several communities, including Tempe, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills and Arcosanti, have major art festivals each year. These events usually include art sales, folk and rock groups and other entertainment. Information about these events is available in daily metropolitan newspapers. Batting Cages:

Malibu Grand Prix Hikes and Climbs: There are several good hiking trails in and around the Phoenix Area. Many have short/amateur trails for the beginner; others offer a more strenuous workout.

Ice Chalet Salt and Verde Rivers: The Salt River is a great place for "tubing." This recreation normally requires two vehicles for the entrance and exit points and a number of inner tubes.
