Student Handbook - Academic Programs and DeansThe Academic Offices are located in Student Central, accessed through the Courtyard. During regular school hours, students may contact a faculty member or an academic dean by leaving a message with the receptionist or an academic department secretary. If students have any academic problems, they should not hesitate to contact the dean or program coordinator of their program or an individual faculty member. Each academic program dean and his/her associated staff register students for each term, provide scheduling of courses and faculty, provide academic and attendance counseling, process transfer credit requests, process proficiency exam requests, record final grades in courses and update curriculum. Of special assistance to the deans are the Program Coordinators: Vicky Reeves for the Electronics programs, Diane Miksovsky for the Business programs, and Lynn Archuleta for the Evening and Weekend Programs. In particular, these program coordinators are responsible for monitoring the progress of first- and second-term students and are therefore directly involved in the tracking of student attendance, academic progress and retention, and in the academic counseling of freshmen students. In addition, the program coordinators are available to all students for academic counseling and scheduling. Return to: Student Handbook Contents
